The Carolina Snowbelles, a program of The Project Dance Foundation, is a scholarship-based precision dance company founded in 2015 to train and inspire dancers ages 9 and up in the High Country of North Carolina. Through rigorous instruction in precision dance—a unique blend of tap, jazz, and ballet—members develop technical excellence alongside teamwork, confidence, leadership, and community involvement. Dancers rehearse weekly, perform throughout the region, and take the stage each December in the company's annual production, A Carolina Snowbelle Christmas, at the Appalachian Theatre in Boone. New members are selected during Kick It Up, the Foundation's five-day summer intensive featuring professional training in ballet, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, modern, and precision dance. Dancers chosen for the company receive full scholarships into The Carolina Snowbelles, continuing the Foundation's commitment to excellence, opportunity, and artistic growth.
